Thanks for this, as always, Tracy. Offering decent concessions resonates with me. I have been doing that naturally, if I think to my current patients, but it's nice to think someone else thinks that is a good idea too! I haven't really advertised them though, so will have a think how is best for me to do this.

Many thanks, and I hope you're well.

Hi Charlie, it’s great to hear from you! I think there’s definitely a place for offering concessions and it can be a great way to build up your practice. Another tip I would have is to reach out directly to local charities Ava see if you can offer a more cost clinic through them. I did several years with Hackney Carers’ Centre and feel this was really valuable on both sides. 🙏🏼

I am at stage 5 and am currently seeing clients 4 days a week. Two would be ideal! I am wondering if you can speak to how to make enough money only seeing clients two days?

Hi Cailee,

I think it maybe depends on how much you need to earn and also how much you are prepared to charge.

I see between 10-12 people across 2 days per week and this gives me enough earnings for my needs, to support myself and my family.

I work another day on case work and prescriptions, but I don't see clients on that day.

My husband also works, but we are reliant on both of our incomes.

I trained in Homeobotanicals around 6 years ago, and I now dispense these and charge an additional fee which helps.

I have never seen anyone lay out the Stages of Practice before. Interesting idea! I am definitely in Stage 6 - and it is a daily struggle. I almost hired an assistant, but now that we are moving across the country, it is a whole new ball game. I have an idea, though, of how I might do so there too. Much love to you, Tracy!! Thank you, as always, for the food for thought. ❤️

Thank you Pat! So good to hear that you are busy! It does have its own challenges, this stage. Revisit your schedule, revisit your systems, and refer on if you need. Good luck with your move. Exciting times! 🏡
