Hi Tracy. I have stopped offering free chats. People would not turn up or just want free advice. I now have all clients book online and pay before their appointments. I do offer a quick email enquire if someone is not sure what type of appointment they want. I have various options for appointments on my website. I think I am just getting old and cranky!!! Love your emails/ newsletters you always seem to be at the same point in your practice as me.

Hi Jude, I really don't think you will ever be old and cranky! Yes, free chats are SO good when you are starting out in practice, as they help you get more people through the door, and some of them will be a good fit. Nowadays, I have an enquiry form which helps with a lot of filtering. Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom. ♥️

Tracy, this is not in relation to the question directly, but I just want to share that I love your authenticity and always find value in your newsletter. Many, many thanks.

Thank you for sharing this story Tracy! It is so important to set those boundaries and I'm working on that for myself...I've found a pattern of clients not committing to their first follow up so I've been exploring that lately. "Reliable patients can be expected!" putting that out there... :)

Hi Paula, thank you for sharing your experience. Noticing patterns is so important, and then trying out new small things to see what changes. I've made a practice of explaining in the Discovery Call and repeating at the end of the first consultation - I'm expecting steady progress over time, and it's a journey with a course of treatment. Reliable and committed clients can be expected - I love this affirmation!

Hi Tracy, it is so interesting to read about your new client experience, it is so frustrating sometimes. I don't have a booking system yet so trust clients will pay via BACS I ask 2 days in advance. I don't know how I would ask for a deposit. This month I've had a couple of enquiries, 1 man asked if he could use a specific remedy for gallstones, I said lets have a free chat about you, homeopathy, and how I work. No response. Another booked in then cancelled before because he thought I wanted to access his GP files, I set him clear on this and clarified my data policy. No response. Another wrote a big enquiry msg and ignored my offer to have a free introductory call. Then there are the new clients where it goes smoothly, we chat, they book in and pay! I think I'm transparent and fair. But it takes up time reacting to different issues from different prospective scenarios, and not being paid for it. So a deposit sounds a great idea.

Thankyou deeply for your newsletters and the support you offer me and my practice. So inspiring!
