The clocks have changed and the school holidays are nearly here, for both of which I am deeply thankful.
The brighter afternoons are so welcome and I am really looking forward to a more relaxed couple of weeks without having to stay on top of homework, packed lunches etc.
I hope you also have something to look forward to this April. ☀️

Tiny Tweaks
When you start out in practice, and you don’t have too many clients, it kind of doesn’t matter too much how long things take. Nor do you need to be especially organised.
There’s the novelty and excitement of casework and making up remedies, plus you’re still learning so you need to take your time.
As you get busier it soon starts to feel like you’re simultaneously juggling and falling behind.
While you’re doing casework, emails are piling up and why do so many of them come on Friday afternoon?
Work can spill over into weekends or ‘family time’ which doesn’t feel good either.
There’s no magic solution to any of this, but, as with anything, small changes make a big difference.
Over the years I’ve made lots and lots of tiny tweaks to how I organise myself and my practice.
Here are a few of them.
Plan your day the night before.
This gives you a head start.Take some time to review your week.
This helps you be strategic.Do as many things in batches as you can.
e.g. Put labels on all your posting bags with a cup of tea and a great playlist!Block out a week without clients every couple of months.
This helps you catch up.Take some time for a ‘big picture’ overview
2 or 3 times a year, this is so valuable.
