I’m so glad we are almost in May!
There are three long weekends to look forward to, and it’s a birthday month for me and my youngest, so lots to look forward to. 🎂
I started the year with a long list of personal ‘life laundry’ tasks, and thankfully am nearing the end.
This frees me up to review some overdue tasks in my work life, and as we are in the season for spring cleaning, I will also share my short email course with tips for spring-cleaning your practice, one a day for 4 days next week.
If you are new here, welcome! I’m Tracy, a homeopath in east London. I’ve been in practice for 16 years and been sharing my practice reflections for 8 of them.
Recent webinars!
I love your presentations, very clear and inspiring, and you are very generous with your course notes, templates etc, and most of all your warm presence. Thank you : )
Thank you to everyone who joined me on Homeopathy for Acne last week.
If you planned to join but missed it, you can still purchase and watch the replay here. 🌷
Thank you also if you joined Hormonal Homeopathy Masterclass Series that I co-hosted with Cassie Everett in March.
We’ve had so much lovely feedback for this. It was truly a labour of love and so much fun to be collaborating with my friend Cassie!
The replay is available to purchase until Sunday 30th April. 📕
Please note: all my webinars are available for unlimited replay!
They are hosted in your own dashboard on Crowdcast where you can access them anytime. ✨
Thoughts on the work we do 📌
I’ve had a cold this week.
I’ve needed to blow my nose while I’ve been on calls with clients, and it’s given me a chance to explain that homeopathy can be really helpful for colds.
I encourage all my clients to purchase a remedy kit and I love how excited they are to tell me about how they are using it!
Recently I’ve been thinking about all the different aspects of the work we do.
I love to create systems and I love that I’m always learning.
I also like having a variety of work to do.
Homeopath
Educator
Counsellor
Admin assistant
Book-keeper etc.
The first three on this list are the ones that take up most of my energy.
Active, empathetic listening, making notes and keeping an eye on the clock while also processing and analysing information requires a great deal of focus and emotional intelligence.
The work outside the consultation is considerable but invisible to the client.
Over the years I’ve tried to create systems for everything I do so that I use my time effectively.
New clients want to know when they will receive their remedies so I try to pre-empt that by sending an email once I’ve sent their prescription to Helios.
When someone is new to homeopathy I know they need a lot more ‘educating’ about what to expect so I wrote a small guidebook that I have printed to send out along with my client-therapist agreement.
I love that I am always learning!
As I work repeatedly with similar conditions, I look for patterns and research to help me understand underlying causes.
In the last few years, I include a lot more advice on water intake, diet, supplements etc.
With chronic migraines, they need to drink more water.
With acne, they need to cut out dairy.
With insomnia and waking, they will benefit from a chromium supplement to balance their blood sugar.
I like to send links to good quality supplements such as Optibac and Cytoplan, and I can do this via the Natural Dispensary and send them a practitioner discount code.
They get a discount on their products and I receive a small commission at the end of the month.
When I think of all the things I do in a typical week, it’s enjoyable because it’s varied, but it’s still work, that takes time, focus and organisation.
What do you enjoy about the work you do?
Has it evolved and changed over time?
Leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you and I promise to reply.

We offer and give a valuable service and we deserve to be paid well for what we do.
There is a clear set of notes to follow the training.
