Supporting Pregnancy with Homeopathy 🫄
2-part webinar starts this week - join live or watch on replay
I hope you are having a good start to your week.
It’s not too late to join my new 2-part webinar starting on Thursday this week – Supporting Pregnancy with Homeopathy.
I’m excited to be co-hosting with my friend Sarah Hyatt - doula and fellow homeopath.
Supporting pregnancy with homeopathy 🫄
Every pregnancy and birth is unique.
Some of you may have personal experience of a medically managed pregnancy or birth.
Or you may have had a home birth, water birth or even birth assisted with homeopathy.
Sarah Hyatt and I have experience of seven pregnancies and between us we have five very different experiences of childbirth - medical, surgical and active birth.
We are united in our vision that homeopathy can help women have better birth experiences and make informed choices, and that starts during pregnancy.
Women often turn to homeopathy for support during pregnancy.
Patients who come back to us when they are pregnant
Patients we have already supported on their fertility journey
Women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or birth trauma
Women who have previously experienced postnatal depression
Women who want to have different support in a second or subsequent pregnancy
Women reaching out for support from a homeopath for the first time
We can offer practical support with common pregnancy ailments, share the wisdom of the tissue salt programme and offer advice for homeopathy during labour.
We can also offer time, care and empathy which is invaluable in itself.
Individualised and preventative care
In the UK we are lucky to have free pregnancy care through the NHS.
As a complementary medicine, homeopathy offers a more holistic approach.
Homeopathy can relieve symptoms of common complaints such as nausea, heartburn, constipation, haemorrhoids, leg cramps and thrush.
We can also offer support to help avoid more serious complaints such as high blood pressure, choleostasis, and gestational diabetes.
These three issues are also more likely to occur in subsequent pregnancies.
Gestational diabetes affects 1 in 20 pregnancies, and increases the risk of pre-eclampsia.
Cholestasis is less common, but also increases the risk of pre-eclampsia.
Pre-eclampsia has an increased risk of intervention including betablockers, steroid injections, induction and C-section.
