I hope you had a good summer and your September has got off to a good start.
Today I’m sharing my September routines that help me reset after the summer.
If you are a new reader, welcome!
In this newsletter, you’ll find some reflections on my own practice, dates of webinars in the coming months, plus a few links I hope will inspire you.
Hello September 🌻
My summer has been quite busy.
Partly because my husband has full-time work again after what has been a lot of years.
But also because we’ve had some long-overdue repairs done at home and guess who’s been project-managing?
I’ve had two lovely holidays over the summer. One in Yorkshire and one to visit a friend in Sweden.
With all this activity and some time away from my practice, my income has been half of what it is in a usual month.
That was expected and also ok, as I know that in September things get back to normal.
Plus I have a plan.
September routine 1 📆
The first thing I do at the start of September is sit down with my journal and reflect on how the year has been so far.
I write a list of ‘accomplishments’ to remind myself of everything I’ve achieved, large or small.
I write another list of practice-related things that I would like to get done and pick two to prioritise.
The next step is to pull up the calendar and look at the dates for the rest of the year.
When are the school holidays? When am I going away? When will be my last day before Christmas? When is my first day back in January? I put all these in my online calendar.
When is ‘Black Friday’? I always take a week away from my practice during the last week of November as I know there will always be cancellations when the black Friday sales come around.
September routine 2 💌
The next thing I do is to send ‘reach out emails’.
These are to clients who fall into one of the following categories:
Long-standing clients, who I’ve not seen for a while.
Recent clients, who are not booked in for a follow-up.
Hay fever clients, who I see every autumn/winter for homeopathy to reduce symptoms in the summer.
While I have plenty of bookings already for September, and some in October, I always want to make sure my clients feel supported and this is why I reach out.
Long-standing clients will often have an appointment or two over the winter and they are always pleased to hear from me.
Recent clients need to stay on track with their course of treatment.
Hay fever clients know they have a far better allergy season with minimal symptoms when they see me during the winter.
If you don’t routinely send ‘reach out’ emails to clients, I really recommend you try it, especially if your practice isn’t yet as busy as you would like it to be.
Note: the emails are not intended to push people into booking. They are more of a hello and getting the conversation going.
Here’s what I write in the email.
Subject header: Hello from Tracy
Email content:
Hi ____,
I hope this finds you well.
You have been in my thoughts this week.
I would love to hear an update from you when you have time. :-)
Kind regards,
Tracy
With long-standing clients I would add in an extra sentence:
Let me know if you would like me to send you some times for a homeopathy session sometime in the next month or so.
With hay fever clients I add in:
This is a good time to think about starting some winter allergy treatment. Here are some possible dates and times that I hope will work for you.

My homeopathy protocol for hayfever prevention includes nosodes, allersodes and constitutional remedies to successfully reduce and in many cases eliminate hay fever symptoms during the allergy season.
I’ve been using this protocol successfully in practice for more than 15 years, and I’ve taught it to more than 80 homeopaths on my webinar ‘Effective Hayfever Prevention’.

Thoughts on support treatments during the season
When to use higher potency nosodes
There will be plenty of time for questions.
So many people suffer from allergies in the summer and even all year round.
I’m concerned to see an increase in people self-administering anti-histamines on a daily basis, especially as these drugs are energy-depleting and also affect the gut and absorption of nutrients.
Whatever your specialism or niche in homeopathy, allergy treatment and prevention is something that responds to practical strategies.
Register for the webinar to watch the replay and be invited to join the live Q and A on:
Thursday 15th September, 1 pm - 2 pm BST
Queries? Reply to this email and I will do my best to answer them
3. Managing client expectations - save the date 📂
When it comes down to it, homeopathy practice is as much about working with people as it is about the art of homeopathy.
This new webinar will look at all the ways we can manage expectations at each stage of the client journey.
Friday 7th October, 10 am - 2 pm
4. Homeopathy and gut health - save the date 🥨
Gut health is a huge issue and I am sure, like me, you have many people who come for digestive issues. Over-the-counter and prescribed medication has a hugely detrimental effect on the gut, which is another reason this is a growing problem.
Friday 4th November, 10 am - 2 pm
5. Radiant startup: for new and recent graduates 🎓
This course was planned to be for the end of September but due to having renovations that will be noisy and no definite end date, it will start in October instead.
In the meantime, if you are a new or recent graduate, please fill in my online survey here.
