I’m so glad we are in May!
There are two long weekends to look forward to, and it’s a birthday month for me and my youngest, so lots to look forward to. 🎂
I started the year with a long list of personal ‘life laundry’ tasks (who doesn’t?) and thankfully am nearing the end.
This frees me up to review some overdue tasks in my work life, and as we are in the season for spring cleaning, I will also share my short email course with tips for spring-cleaning your practice, one a day for 4 days next week.
If you are new here, welcome! I’m Tracy, a homeopath in east London. I’ve been in practice for 17 years and sharing my practice reflections for 9 of them.

Really love learning from you, you are such a good teacher.
Thank you to everyone who joined me on Homeopathy for Women’s (Gynaecological) Health last week.

They are hosted in your dashboard on Crowdcast where you can access them anytime. ✨
Practice housekeeping 🧼
Recently I’ve been thinking about all the different aspects of the work we do.
I love to create systems around the variety of work I do.
Homeopath
Educator
Counsellor
Admin assistant
Book-keeper etc.
Over the years I’ve tried to create systems for everything I do so that I use my time effectively.
Once a month I do some practice housekeeping to make sure everything is running smoothly.
It doesn’t take long and it always leads to people getting back in touch with me.
I send my newsletter to all my new clients to ask if they would like to subscribe.
I download a report from Timely for ‘clients not retained’ since the start of the year and selected which ones to send an email to say hello.
I look back at clients booked in six months ago to see who I can ask to leave me a Google review.
I completed these tasks this morning and within a couple of hours I had three new bookings, a new subscriber to my newsletter, someone asked for a top up of homeobotanicals and another person promised to leave me a review.
By making these tasks part of my monthly routine, I keep the energy flowing in my practice.
When I get in touch with past clients it shows that I care about their progress.
My core group of clients is what helps my practice thrive in the long term.
My newsletter keeps me in touch with them.
Reviews are my number one way to attract new clients to my practice. Everyone tells me they read them.
To keep my website up in the Google rankings I make sure I try to encourage new reviews regularly.
This is ultimately something I have no control over, but by reaching out to people I know have been happy with my work I am at least trying.
Do you have any practice housekeeping routines?
Have they evolved and changed over time?
Leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you and I promise to reply.

Friday 17th May - Money Wisdom for Homeopaths 💳
All the ins and outs of fees, overheads, income, and profit
As homeopaths, we find it very very hard to align ourselves with financial success and there are many ways we sabotage ourselves when it comes to money.
Conscious blocks, total avoidance or simply being vague. I have ticked all of these boxes myself, so there's no judgment here.
There is another way.
