I’m wishing you a happy new year and may you feel more productive and successful in your homeopathy practice – in whatever way that means to you.
This newsletter is the first in 2022.
If you are a new reader, welcome!
I’m Tracy Karkut-Law, a homeopath based in east London. I’ve been in practice for 14 years and I’ve been writing and sharing my journey for the last seven of them.
My word for 2022: Simpler ✂️
I don’t remember exactly when I started this new year ritual, but for some years now I have been choosing a ‘word’ for my year.
The word I choose to guide me and give me focus.
This year my word is Simpler.
Not Simple.
Simpler.
Simple would be too hard, as I don’t believe that my life or my practice can ever be simple.
But I would like things to be simpler.
There are a few reasons why I need my year to be simpler, and one is that I am part-way through writing a Practice Manual, and I would like to finish it.
To create time for this, and not find myself burnt out in the process, I need to reduce the time that I spend on different things.
It’s easy to identify ‘big things’ I don’t want to spend time on, but the truth is that my time trickles away a few minutes here and there on things that I don’t (yet) have systems for.
Here’s what I’m choosing to simplify at Homeopathy with Tracy
Having an enquiry form instead of allowing people to book a free call on my calendar - this is already helping me to identify the people who are likely to be most suitable for me to work with.
Creating a wider range of ‘templates’ for emails for a variety of purposes.
Creating a wider range of ‘handouts’ with links to products I recommend via Neal’s Yard, Aquasource or the Natural Dispensary.
Creating a small booklet that explains homeopathy - something I can share as a PDF and also have printed.
Staying up-to-date with book-keeping - by committing to updating a simple spreadsheet every week when I set up my invoices.
Simplifying my newsletter - by making it shorter and re-purposing photos that I’ve used previously.
Simplifying my blog - by setting aside a week early in the year to write new content to share throughout the year, and to refresh the posts that get most traffic.
Here’s what I’m choosing to simplify in Your Radiant Business
Write once a month instead of every two weeks.
Offer 2 new homeopathy webinars instead of 3.
Offer a new online workshop: Setting Goals and Intentions
Taking time to work on my writing the Practice Manual each week instead of offering free and paid courses.
I have some other ideas in the pipeline but won’t share them just yet as I’m still working on making things simpler.
Do you have a word guiding you in 2022?
If so, please share in the comments.
I would love to know what you’ve chosen to guide you.
Two January offerings for you👩🏼💻🧑🏽💻
Build an effective on-line presence
4-part course for The Hub, hosted by Karen Allen.
I met Karen Allen at the SOH conference in 2019, and we immediately connected. It has taken a while, but I’m finally teaching for the Hub – a 4 part course on Thursday evenings, 7pm London time.
A lot is said about the value and necessity of social media when practice-building but it’s not the only way. Your website should be a valuable tool in bringing a steady stream of potential clients to your door.
In this practical, wise, 8 hr course, Tracy will provide a workbook for you, along with explanation, considerations and all you need to know so you can plan an effective online presence (even without social media).
1. What prospective customers need to see on your website.
2. How to set up Google My Business so you show up in searches.
3. The best ways to share your expertise and reputation.
4. Tips for staying up-to-date.
This four-part course will guide you through each of the steps.Goals and Intentions for 2022
2 hour online workshop Friday 14th January, 10am
£20 early bird
Setting goals and intentions for your practice is a worthwhile thing to do, whether you are starting out, wanting to grow, or needing to streamline.
It can be hard to make the time for planning and reflection, assuming you can find a suitable template.
In this 2-hour workshop, I’m offering a workbook to download, plus guided planning and reflection time, along with tips and strategies whatever stage you are at in your practice.
