I love February!
There are beautiful tulips and daffodils to buy for my vase at home, plus the half-term holiday to look forward to.
January has been a busy time for me, which means that Practice Wisdom is taking a break this month, but will be back next time.
I hope that you enjoy the new monthly newsletter.
There's the February planner, Brain Food, plus my newest webinar: Money Wisdom for Homeopaths.
As always, feel free to reply with any thoughts or questions.
February planner for you
A new planner for you!
My wonderful assistant Suzy has made this beautiful planning sheet for you.
You can download it and print it for yourself here.
February Planner
The quote for this month is by Twyla Tharp, from her book 'The Creative Habit'.
An acclaimed dancer and choreographer, her body of work, and her book detailing her creative practice is very inspiring.
The quote I've chosen encourages us to be uncomfortable in order to grow.
I'm definitely stepping outside of my comfort zone with the new 'Money Wisdom' webinar I have planned for March. :-)
The March planner will be in your next newsletter, which comes to you on Friday 28th February.
Brain Food
A bullet journal guide, a homeopathy podcast + how to tame your email.
1. A Thorough Guide to Bullet Journalling
I discovered the joy of bullet journalling some years ago now, and I tell everyone about it! I'm often asked for pointers to resources. This is the best I've come across in a long time.
2. 1M: A Homeopath's Podcast
My first ever podcast! Kelly Callaghan found me on Instagram and asked me to interview! All her episodes are really worth a listen. I'm still planning a podcast, but I need to finish my book first. :-)
3. Email Mastery by Khe Hy
Khe Hy has one of the coolest newsletters that I subscribe to. Rad Reads is what he calls it. Even the name is cool. Anyway I love the way he thinks, and this is a great read on how to master your in-box like a cool person.
Money Wisdom
You deserve to earn a good living from your homeopathy practice.
For a long time, homeopathy was something I spent money on, not earned money from.
My Journey
Almost 13 years on, I have learned many lessons about the reality of making a living as a homeopath. Here are some of the things I've learned on the way.
why cards are better than cash
how to increase prices, and when
when to offer concessions + discounts
how to manage 'swaps' (pros + cons)
financial record-keeping –> spreadsheets vs software
why banking apps are better
and, finally – understanding profit!
I've shared some of these topics in mentoring, and on the courses that I teach, and now I've created an entire webinar about everything I've learned about money as a a self-employed homeopath.
For a long time, I didn't think that I would ever need to teach about money.
I always assumed that everyone else was better at it than me and that I had to learn about money the hard way because I was bad with money.
Many other homeopaths have told me this isn't true.
As homeopaths we find it very very hard to align ourselves with financial success.
There are many ways we sabotage ourselves when it comes to money.
Conscious blocks, total avoidance or simply being vague. I have ticked all of these boxes myself, so there's no judgment here.
There is another way. :-)
If you’ve read this far, thank you.
As always, if you know anyone who might like to see this, please feel free to forward it to them.
Get in touch if you have any thoughts you’d like to share.
With warmest wishes,
