Skills + Checklists for a Thriving Practice 💡
When I used to be on Facebook, I found myself joining groups and courses for therapists and coaches and it was not fun.
(If you’ve ever been in a big noisy group with people creating ‘offers’ and ‘packages’ to build their ‘6 figure business’ you’ll know what I mean.)
I don’t want a 6 figure business, I never have and I never will.
I don’t even want to have to register for VAT.
Can you imagine charging VAT on top of an appointment?
I became a homeopath because I wanted to a) study homeopathy and b) help people.
I was absolutely determined to earn a living from it, and I’m proud to be able to say that I do.
This is what I want to share with the homeopathy community.
Homeopathy is unique
It’s hard to understand, even harder to explain, and there are a whole load of unhelpful myths and misunderstandings around it.
The harder something is, the easier you have to make it for people.
Client management or client retention, or both?
As my practice has evolved, my client management has been through three distinct phases, each building on the other.
Initially, I focused on avoiding cancellations and keeping people coming back.
Later, I focused on streamlining payments and communication to support my work-life balance.
Now, I focus on attracting and retaining ideal clients and letting go of the rest.
Some of the things I've learned on my journey:
6 client archetypes
what clients need to know in advance
questions to ask during a Discovery Call
what to say to clients who are new to homeopathy
what to say to clients who have tried homeopathy before
how to structure the first appointment
how to structure a follow-up
what to do when there is a 'plateau'
how to handle rearrangements and cancellations
how to handle late payments
how to handle clients who send lots of emails
We offer and give a valuable service and we deserve to work with people who trust us and value homeopathy.
