Hi,
If this is your first Radiant Business newsletter, a warm welcome!
This is the first time I’ve had a chance to write this month.
The last couple of weeks have been kind of busy, and I have an on-going promise to myself that I won’t spread myself too thin. :-)
Kind motivation
The lovely group of homeopaths taking part in Radiant Business School have been working hard for the last three weeks, and we finish up on Thursday.
We have been talking about the challenges of being in a business of one.
It’s not always easy to really feel you’re a business when it’s just you.
Whether you are new or established, whether you have an office or simply the kitchen table, the bottom line is that you have to carve out time.
You also need a plan.
Clear goals and small projects are what keep your business moving forward.
I hope the practice reflections and links offer you some kind motivation this week.
Small announcement!
If there’s one thing that makes me feel like a business it’s having a professionally designed website.
My goal for 2019 was to complete my rebranding for my homeopathy business, which included my Homeopathy with Tracy website.
My goal for 2020 is to complete the new Radiant Business website and I’m happy to say that it’s live!

Practice Reflections
These last few weeks I’ve focused on filling my schedule so I can take a week off for half-term.
Here are the two strategic actions that helped.
Remember to book people in for their next follow up at the end of the session.
Send out ‘Hello from Tracy’ emails.
I realised that I’d been forgetting to book people in for their next session at the end of their appointment.
Such a simple thing to change!
I usually say something along these lines:
“It would be good to see you again in about four weeks. Are you ok if we book that in now?”
To encourage them to book I remind them that the email confirmation has a link to change or cancel if they need to.
Quite a few of my clients do that for themselves already.
I send ‘Hello from Tracy’ emails every couple of months.
Here’s what I do.
I look back through my calendar to help me make a list of clients I haven’t seen for a while.
I download a report showing my client list organised by ‘customer spend’.
This reminds me of long-standing clients who might also like to hear from me.
Altogether I sent out more than 40 personal emails saying hello to people I hadn’t seen for a while.
I always adjust the message and the tone, depending on who I am writing to, but here’s an example of the kind of thing I normally write:
Hi ___,
How are you?
I hope you are well and keeping warm. :-)
You’ve been in my thoughts this week.
I would love to have an update from you when you have time.
Warm regards,
Tracy
In the following weeks, I received a steady stream of responses requesting a booking.
Others replied with an update on how they were feeling, which was lovely too.
If you don’t routinely send out ‘Hello’ emails this is something you might like to try.
And if you’ve been thinking about trying a booking system but haven’t got round to it yet, I recommend Timely.
