Hello, how are you?
How’s your July going so far? ☔️
I’m really hoping for some sunshine soon.
Congratulations to all the new graduates who are reading! 👩🏻🎓👩🏾🎓👩🏼🎓
I’m excited to be teaching for the Society of Homeopaths tomorrow lunchtime.
My talk is ‘Three Steps to Long-Lasting Client Relationships’.
As you probably already know I’m a massive fan of the newsletter.
But I also believe that communication is embedded in everything we do as practitioners.
This is one reason I’ve invested a great deal of thought into all the client touch-points in my practice, from my on-boarding systems, the design of my stationery and the products I recommend.
Speaking of which…
Free webinar - Neal’s Yard for homeopaths
Wednesday July 14th, 2-3pm
I remember Neal's Yard when it was a tiny independent shop in Covent Garden over 30 years ago.
I bought my first homeopathy book from them, and discovered Australian Bush Essences there too.
It was part of my journey during pregnancy and motherhood over 20 years ago.
I love that it supports homeopathy, herbal medicine and aromatherapy.
As a family-run, UK based, ethical and organic company they’ve led the way in the natural skin-care industry for the last 40 years.
The CEOs are Barnabas and Annabel Kindersley (who’s a qualified homeopath).
In the last couple of years they've been steadily updating their product range and I love what they are doing.
This July they have a starter kit including a selection of best selling, award-winning, natural and organic products, business tools, and a free personalised website.
Join me on a free webinar to find out more about how I've built it into my practice.
If you’ve been thinking about joining Neal’s Yard, wondering if it’s worth it, and if so, how to add it to your practice, I hope you will join me to find out more. 🌺
Practice Wisdom – Intuition as a system
Here’s something I’ve known for some time – the logical and analytical side of me, my life and my work needs to be balanced with observation, reflection and intuition.
Technology has driven all of us towards data/science/analysis as the dominant model for business, and life generally.
While I can see these areas are important and valuable, as a human I have senses that I rely on to find my way around my life.
An important sense is intuition.
One way this plays out in my practice is through sending ‘reach out’ emails.
Every couple of months or so, I send out an email to a few clients I’ve not seen in a while.
I look back through my booking system to find people I’ve not seen in a while.
I don’t reach out to all of them.
I use my intuition to tell me whether or not now is the right time.
Often I receive an email response saying, ‘You must be telepathic, I’ve been meaning to get in touch with you!’
I also rely on my intuition to tell me how someone is feeling about how their treatment is going.
Not everyone is direct.
Some people will have doubts but won’t say anything.
I try to tune into my feelings and if I feel there’s something that’s not being said, I might ask, ‘How do you feel your treatment is going for you at the moment? Are you where you hoped you would be?’
Or, I might ask how their partner feels about it.
Or, I might ask something else.
I follow my intuition and it’s almost always helpful.
I believe in finding a balance between being logical and methodical and intuitive and creative.
How does this resonate with you?
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments, and I promise I will reply. 🙋🏼♀️
