It feels like we are approaching summer, finally, and Iām so grateful for the blue sky that appears more often. āļø
Itās also nearly the solstice, and with bank holidays and school holidays, not to mention spending a fair bit of time at the allotment ā this quarter is passing by so quickly. š±
In a few weeks Iāll be part of the volunteer crew with the Travelling Homoeopaths Collective at Glastonbury. šŖ
Iāve not been since 2022, but luckily I still have my packing list from previous years so hopefully I will have everything I need for all the different kinds of weather thatās possible in any one day. Ā āļø
Save the date!
My next homeopathy webinar is coming up next month.
Homeopathy for Anxiety and Depression ā
ļø

Iāll share more details in another email next week.
If you are new to this newsletter, welcome!
Iām Tracy. Iāve been a homeopath in east London since 2007, and sharing my practice reflections through this newsletter since 2014. š©š¼āš»
How I try to be more organised š
Did you (like me) switch careers to homeopathy so you could have more freedom?
I hoped it would be easier to find time for life outside work when I was no longer working 10 hour days as a teacher.
Itās hard to create work life balance, whatever you do, and if you have kids or pets or take care of a loved one, itās even harder.
Something else thatās hard is setting boundaries between work and personal life.
I feel like Iām constantly trying to be more organised with home life so I can focus on my practice.
I also want to be more organised with my practice so I can enjoy my family and personal life.
Being organised sounds easy, but if your life is anything like mine, every day brings at least one, if not several unexpected things that need managing.
Plus, everything always e-x-p-a-n-d-s to fit the time thatās available. ā³
When it comes to my practice, I want to feel Iām being professional and that means doing things in a ātimely wayā.
Also, I find it hard to settle until my work tasks are finished.
Knowing Iāve done all my casework each week is a good feeling, and this is ultimately why I am always trying to be more organised.
Organising home life
I always wish my home life was more organised, but most of the time I feel Iām doing ok.
Here are the things I have found most helpful.
Having a cleaner š§½
Worth every penny just so I know one day a week everything will be clean.Meal planning š„
We have a list of meals for weekdays and the recipes are all quick.Shopping list in the kitchen š
I tell everyone to add things to the shopping list when they run out.
Laundry free days š§ŗ
To prevent multitasking I donāt do any laundry on my work days.Quick daily tidy up š§¹
Mess makes me stressed so I have a quick tidy-up a couple of times a day.
Organising work life
The main way I do this is by spending a lot of time on my calendar in general.
Appointments on two days only š
My client work is feels more manageable when I only do two days. Each weekday has a different focus š§
Monday - consultations
Tuesday - consultations and casework
Wednesday - finish casework, post, yoga class
Thursday - newsletter/admin or personal day
Friday - personal dayBlock out a free week every so often š«
Once every couple of months I block out a week to be client free.
How I feel about my schedule
I really like it!
I like that I know which days Iām working and which days are flexible.
I still consider myself a āfull-time homeopathā, I just happen to work part-time hours.
How about you?
What do you do to help yourself be more organised?
I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.
