I hope you had a good weekend and are feeling rested and positive this Monday morning.
This is a short email course to help you with easy marketing - 4 emails, Monday to Thursday this week.
The ideas I’m sharing are principles that have helped me immensely on my practice journey.
show gratitude
be consistent
build solid foundations
refine your strategy
This list might not sound very original or exciting, but, like most things, the more you put in, the more you get out.
This course includes exercises for reflection and planning.
I find it works best if I write everything down all in one place - a notebook that I use as a journal.
A practice journal is a habit, tool and ritual all rolled into one.
A journal gives you a place to write your thoughts, ideas and observations.
It helps you think more deeply.
I’ve been keeping a journal for years and years and it’s the single thing that helps me find ways to grow and balance my practice.
My favourite notebook is the Leuchturm 1917 journal, medium size, with a hardcover and dotted pages. It comes in many beautiful colours.
I start a new one at the start of each ‘term’, January, April/May, and September.
You don’t need a special journal though, any notebook you have to hand will be perfect to get started.
Let’s start with gratitude.
The goal: notice and appreciate people and small businesses
The strategy: write thank you notes and post reviews
Think of friends, loyal clients, former work colleagues, teachers - anyone who supports you in your work as a homeopath.
Write down their names, and in your mind, thank them.
Select one or two and hand-write a thank you note on a card and send it in the post.
Write a list of small, local or independent businesses you are connected with personally.
Write down their names, and in your mind, thank them.
Find and follow them on social media if you haven’t already.
Write them a message, or comment on one of their posts.
Best of all, write them a review on Google.
This is not only a kind thing to do, but it's also a solid business practice.
Google reviews are very helpful for local businesses, including homeopaths.
Asking someone to leave you a review can feel awkward, but far less so if this is something you do regularly yourself.
Look back through your lists.
Is there someone you can link or collaborate with?
e.g. a menopause workshop with your yoga teacher
If the thought of collaboration feels too much, maybe you can just invite them for some informal networking over coffee.
Chat about what you both offer and see how you can support each other.
Think creatively here and don’t be shy about reaching out.
Summary
Write your list of people who support you
Thank them in your mind
Send them a message or card
Write your list of businesses you value
Find and/or comment on their social media
Leave them a Google review if appropriate
Invite someone for a coffee to explore ideas
Final thoughts
Positivity and gratitude are attractive qualities.
Never underestimate their combined power.
Your energy helps your clients at least as much as homeopathy does.
How did you find the exercises today?
Leave a comment here if you like, I promise to reply. ✨
That’s all for today.

P.S.
If you only take away 2 things from this course...
1. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing. There is no right way or wrong way to market yourself, so long as it feels in alignment with YOUR personal values and the service you offer.
2. Marketing is a long game. You are building relationships. Be consistent. Choose where to spend your valuable time and spend it wisely.

I love this approach, thank you for sharing! I have dabbled in these occasionally, but never with any commitment or regularity so I will make it a priority. Thanks
