I hope you had a good start to your week and are feeling ready for your Wednesday morning.
I'm so glad you’re here.
We’re on day 3 of a short email course to help you with your easy marketing - 4 emails, Monday to Thursday this week.
The course gives an outline of the simple strategies I’ve used to grow my practice over many years.
The ideas I’m sharing are principles that have helped me immensely on my practice journey.
show gratitude
be consistent
build solid foundations
refine your strategy
Today we’ll look at building solid foundations.
The goal: build solid foundations with testimonials and reviews
The strategy: set up and polish your Google My Business Profile
Do you already have a Google My Business Account?
If so, you can go straight to the bonus exercise below.
If you don't, here's your one and only exercise for today!
Set up a Google My Business Account.
It's easy to do, just follow the instructions here.
The big thing that I have noticed people get worried about when they start setting up their accounts is that it asks for your address.
This is so that Google can verify you by sending a postcard with a code for you to enter on the Google My Business page.
NOTE: Once you are verified you can change your address to a 'service area' instead.
If you really don't want to set up a GMB account, you can still ask for reviews and testimonials.
Simply write a list of clients who have had good results from working with you.
Write to ask them for a testimonial.
Bonus Exercise
Go to your Google My Business Profile to check it over
Add a good photo of yourself if you don't already have one
Add your logo if you haven't already
Add some more photos if you can
Find the link to share (where it says Get More Reviews)
Make sure you copy the link to share
Tips to help you get reviews
Choose your best clients who are always telling their friends about you already!
Choose people who already have a Gmail address as this makes the whole process easier.
Choose younger people, business owners, and anyone who works in tech.
Ask anyone you have given remedies to, including friends etc.
Be willing to ask people more than once!
Ask if you can share
on your website
in blog posts
in newsletters
social media (maybe)
Once you build a decent number of reviews, you will see an increase in your enquiries.
Summary
Set up a Google Business account if you don't have one (unless you don't want to)
Update your profile if you have one (you must have good photos)
Write a list of people to ask to leave you a review (or testimonial)
Write to them
If they leave a review, you can reply to it on Google (Google likes it when you do this)
If they forget, you can remind them
Final thoughts
Please check that your GMB business name is your own name and that you also use the word homeopath or homeopathy too.
This will really help prospective clients to click through to see your profile.
If you are called something vague that doesn't mention homeopathy, it won't help you at all.
e.g.
Vitality Health or Natural Family Health sounds vague and a bit like a shop or business.
Sarah Brown Homeopathy or Maryam Shah Homeopath sounds professional
If someone is on Google searching for a homeopath, you need to make it easy for them to find you and check you out!
I recommend you review your profile every couple of months and make asking for reviews a regular practice.
Don't give up and keep asking.
How did you find the exercises today?
Please leave a comment and I promise to reply. ✨
That’s all for today.

P.S.
Remember:
1. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing.
2. It's a long game. Invest your time where it counts.
