Today is the last day of the early bird for my upcoming homeopathy webinar on Periods and Hormonal Birth Control.
There’s also further information on the Radiant Startup course.
Homeopathy, periods, + hormonal birth control
Early bird ends today!
Tuesday 15th June
9.30am - 2pm
£30 Early bird! ✨
£40 (from 26th May)
I treated my first case of pill detox while still at homeopathy college more than fourteen years ago.
Once I started in practice I found myself treating many women with period problems, lots of whom were looking for support around coming off the pill.
These clients often presented with varying degrees of period pain, breast pain, PMS, PMDD, excessive bleeding, endometriosis, irregular cycles, and PCOS.
In the last couple of decades hormonal birth control has evolved to include different types of pill, coil, implant plus morning-after pill, and ‘chemical’ abortions.
Changing times
In recent years there have been encouraging signs of change in attitudes and understanding around the complex biological process that is menstruation.
There have been many new books, apps, podcasts etc. around the themes of hormones and natural fertility.
As homeopaths, we have always seen women and girls with a wide range of symptoms related to periods and fertility, but balancing hormones and resolving symptoms are necessarily as as easy as it used to be.
Organ drainage, sarcodes, nosodes, tautopathy and homeobotanicals are useful tools to address issues that include years or even decades of synthetic birth control hormones.
Research shows that while hormonal birth control continues to be prevalent among women of all ages, it is less popular with women in the 'Millenial' group, and even less so with 'Generation Z'.
The 'morning-after pill' has proven to be helpful for women who need to avoid pregnancy after condoms fail.
'Medical' (drug induced) and surgical abortions are both traumatic.
As practitioners we need to understand all of these areas in order to feel confident in navigating them with our clients.
We want to give support and up-to-date information as well as effective treatment protocols.
In this webinar I will present up-to-date information about period health, hormonal birth control, practical homeopathic strategies and skills for client management.

Practice reflections
The photo at the top of this newsletter shows a postcard designed by my dear friend Lulu Kitololo, who co-founded Radiant Business with me many years ago. ☀️
We connected at a networking group and immediately discovered shared values about work ethics, boundaries and finding enjoyment through creativity.
I recently treated myself to art and postcards and some other products from Lulu’s web-shop. They arrived in my office bringing some radiant sunshine with them all the way from Nairobi, Kenya.
Doesn’t feel like work
When I opened the pack of postcards, certain messages really stood out.
The postcard in the photo says:
‘Doesn’t feel like work’
This is a phrase that really resonated with me.
It helps me remember how I felt when I first graduated, and I would have gladly worked for free (and sometimes did).
It also reminds me of something important I need to remember:
‘Work is work’
Homeopathy is work.
Just because it helps people, doesn’t mean it’s not work.
Just because I’m passionate about it, doesn’t mean it’s not work.
Just because it involves emotional labour, doesn’t mean it’s not work.
Just because it’s a female dominated industry, doesn’t mean it’s not work.
When I think about this more deeply I’m reminded that people don’t decide to try homeopathy because they are completely in love with homeopathy.
No.
They come because they have a problem to be solved.
Something that makes them feel uncomfortable, unhappy, or maybe even ashamed.
Something that stops them from being themselves – at work, in their relationships.
Solving problems, that’s definitely work.
Even when it doesn’t feel like it. 📥
Radiant Startup
This is my new course for graduate homeopaths, based on the long-standing and successful Radiant Business School.
If you’re a new graduate, and you’re keen to get your practice up and running, this new course could be for you.
Dates
Radiant Startup takes place over 2 Saturdays – July 4th, and September 5th.

It’s mainly direct teaching, but also includes access to pre-recorded videos, an online community, checklists, workbooks, resources and support materials plus a personal one-to-one after the course to help you figure out your next steps.
Topics
This is not an exclusive list, but the main areas we will cover include:
How to find your niche
How to price yourself
Setting healthy boundaries
Different marketing styles
What you need to know about SEO
Setting up practice on a budget
Written communication skills
Client management skills
Practice planning systems
My promise: I will share practical, usable tips and tools for you to start using right away. There will also be parts that you will want to come back to.
My philosophy is that as homeopaths, we all have something different to bring to the table.
But I also know that when you are a new graduate, it’s really hard to know what you have to offer, other than your passion for homeopathy.
That’s a given.
You’ve spent 4 years learning, but you know that what you’ve learned is just the tip of the iceberg.
You look around you and see there are thousands of homeopaths, all over the world, and it feels like all of them are more experienced and more knowledgeable than you.
It’s hard to believe that you can really have a successful practice.
There are so many things to think about, it can be hard to know where to start.
Especially when you consider all the opinionated and conflicting advice about marketing.
If you’re on social media you’ll be seeing adverts from coaches offering course on any and every aspect of #girlboss #marketing you can imagine.
Some of those could be really useful, but how do you know until you’re inside an enormous group of other female business-owners/entrepeneurs/coaches and you don’t know how they feel about homeopathy?
Meanwhile, you’re starting to feel the need to justify all the time, money and effort you’ve put into studying homeopathy to your friends, family, work colleagues etc.
No pressure then. ☺️
You might already be working in a successful career and wonder if it is really possible to switch?
You might have been a home-maker for a while and now you have to ease yourself into self-employment.
There are lots more possible scenarios here and I can’t possibly list them all, but what I’m really trying to say is this.
If you want to make a go of it, I’m here to support you.
If you’d like to find out more, I’m offering a practice planning webinar on Saturday 12th June.
Please also share among your fellow-students.
I have a list of colleges to share this information with, but it’s always nice to have support on the inside. 💁🏼♀️
The early bird is £150, and the course will be open to join in the next newsletter.
