2. Money Wisdom for Homeopaths
£40 early bird
Wednesday 6th October 9.30 am - 2.30 pm
As homeopaths, we offer and give a valuable service.
Why then, is it so hard to align ourselves with financial success?
There are many ways to sabotage ourselves when it comes to money.
Conscious blocks, total avoidance or simply being vague. I have ticked all of these boxes myself, so there's no judgment here. 🤷🏼♀️
When I started training as a homeopath I didn't give any thought to how I was going to earn a living from it.
I was so absorbed in learning about my passion, that I allowed myself to be blinkered to the business and money side of things.
To begin with, I was only concerned with investing in my learning.
I not only paid for my training but also extra clinics, multiple seminars, books, remedies, and all the other things I felt I needed along the way.
For a long time, homeopathy was something I spent money on, not earned money from.
14 years on, I have learned many lessons about the reality of earning a living as a self-employed homeopath.
This webinar will cover many topics, including pricing, when and how to increase fees, selling products, evaluating overheads, concessions, packages, swaps, banking, financial record-keeping, and more.
There’s a workbook to use during the webinar and a clear set of notes to follow.

A fresh start
This time last year I decided to leave the clinic I’d worked at for many years.
It wasn’t an easy decision as I’d been very happy there.
The husband and wife who owned it were very forward-thinking. They’d supported my practice and helped me to grow as a practitioner in many ways.
I left because I couldn’t see a time when I would return to seeing people face-to-face as I did before the pandemic.
Working from home is not practical or possible for me due to a lack of space and privacy.
My workspace
Searching on Google I found a workspace just over a mile away with private studios, and luckily there was just one available so I took it.
There are about 20 rooms at Mainyard Studios, and most of the people there work in teams. Over the year I saw teams move into different offices.
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed the door was open to an office I hadn’t seen before. I stepped inside and I really liked the space.
It was warm and bright, with a big tree outside the window.
Later that day, the manager asked me if I was planning to stay another year.
I said I wanted to, but could I change to a new room?
It turned out that I could, and so one week later my daughter came over to help me shift my furniture, books, remedies, and plants.
When I was a teacher I often moved to a new classroom during August, so there’s something familiar about the feeling of being in a new space.
A good time to declutter
I took the opportunity to have a bit of a declutter after moving.
Cleaned out my drawers and wiped my shelves.
Took down my books and rearranged them.
Re-organised my stationery to make it more accessible.
Cleared out my client files to make space for new ones.
Watered, fed, and misted all my plants.
A fresh start
Most homeopaths I know have a home office to work from, but maybe you’d like the feeling of a fresh start too?
Here are some ideas for you.
Empty out your drawers, wipe them clean
Recycle or throw away anything broken
Review your book collection and consider selling any you don’t use
Tidy or re-organise your remedies
Sort out your client files into: current, regular, occasional
Put all the others into an archive box or a separate drawer
Clean behind furniture you don’t normally move
If you have a space-clearing spray, now is a good time to use it!
Attend to your plants, if you have any, or treat yourself
Do you have enough pens that you enjoy using?
Is there anything else that would brighten up your space?
How does this resonate with you?
How do you create a fresh start for yourself in September?
You can leave a comment here and I promise I will reply. ✨

Love this idea! Just back from a month in the US and find myself wanting to dump my house out and put it all back fresh. That feels overwhelming so...This helped me think through some smaller steps with my office area to start with. Good stuff!
