Hi!
If you are new here, welcome!
I’m Tracy Karkut-Law, I’ve been a homeopath in east London since 2007 and I’ve been sharing my practice through this newsletter since 2014.
It feels like we are approaching spring after a cold winter, for which I am so grateful.
The longer afternoons are very welcome and I am enjoying seeing spring flowers popping their heads up. ☀️
February is always a busy time in my practice, and hopefully for you too.
Now January is behind us, it’s a good time to start thinking about how to either a) grow your practice b) streamline your practice or c) simply attract and retain more of the people you enjoy working with.
With this in mind, you might be interested in my upcoming webinar: Skills and Checklists to Grow Your Practice Online - it’s open for registration and the early bird is open until Friday 16th February.
There’s also a homeopathy webinar coming up in March, Homeopathy for Insulin Resistance.
If you are a student or if you would like to book both webinars, please email me for a discount code to give you 25% off each of them.

5 Tips for Blogging in 2024 ⌨️
The great thing about writing content for your blog is that it’s entirely owned and controlled by you.
If someone finds their way to your website they will be able to find your blog posts and read them.
Ideally, if you write a well-researched article you will even show up on search.
(Try typing Homeopathy and Antibiotic Resistance into Google search, and you will see an article written by me shows up 9th on the first page, which I’m quite proud of. My website also shows up on the first page for Homeopathy and Liver Detox, Hayfever and a few other topics too.)
Google is the main search engine used by most people nowadays, and as Google wants to show people the best content, it’s worth knowing a bit about what they are looking for.
Blogging in 2024
Quality over quantity
We trained to be homeopaths, not content creators, but there are more similarities than you might think.
In our practice, we focus on quality over quantity, and it’s the same with writing a blog post.
Rather than writing two or three short and sweet posts a month (or pouring hours into social media content) how about just writing one really good blog?
Articles I wrote several years ago, still bring me new enquiries.
You can do the same.Share your experience
Experience, expertise, authority and trust - these are the 4 pillars of Google’s Helpful Content update.
As a homeopath, you have experience. You know about about what works and doesn’t work in your practice.
This should shine through in your blog.
Have a page for testimonials or ask your web designer to install a widget so that different ones show up around your website. You can even include a quote at the end of your blog post (ask for permission first).
Show Google you have authority and expertise - it’s helpful for prospective clients too.Choose topics with your clients in mind
When you’re starting, take some time to make a simple plan.
One way to do this is to think of 3 or 4 main topics your clients are interested in.
You can also do some keyword research.
Keywords are words or phrases that people type into Google to find out anything they want to know.
Answer the Public is a free and very cool tool which could give you some ideas.Make your content scannable
Do people even read anymore?
Don’t expect viewers to properly read your content.
Help them find what they are looking for with short sentences, sub-headings, bullet points and quotes.
Avoid jargon, definitely avoid long sentences, and write everything so it is simple and clear.Include links to studies
Always research, fact-check and find evidence for whatever you are writing about.
A quick Google search will normally show you something useful but don’t rely on one source and always read studies properly before you link to them.
This also has the advantage of some additional learning for every blog post you write.
It also builds your expertise, authority and trust.
These five tips may not seem all that ground-breaking but combined, they will give you the basis to build evergreen content that will help build your practice for many years to come.
Do you blog regularly?
If so, which article brings you the most enquiries?

Homeopathy for Insulin Resistance 🍭
Friday 22nd March, 10 am - 2 pm
Early Bird: £40 until Monday 4th March
Every homeopath needs tools and strategies to treat and hopefully prevent early signs of 'insulin resistance' a term sometimes used interchangeably with 'metabolic syndrome'.
Around 1 in 4 adults in the UK and 1 in 3 adults in the US are thought to have this condition which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
These issues can be something of a 'wake-up call' for adults in mid-life who have been avoiding taking responsibility for their health.
Homeopathy is not a 'magic solution' but together with lifestyle changes each of these issues can be significantly improved and even reversed.
